The guide shown on the left gives the IIAR standards for marking and identifying ammonia pipes. Ammonia pipes are most commonly used in refrigeration systems.

The guide shown on the right (above) gives that standard ANSI (and ASME) A13.1 pipemarking requirements including the size of the label, color, text size and locations. These are the pipe marking standards used in most facilities.
